Job Summary
ACCO Brands is seeking a Talent Acquisition Associate to join our team in Booneville, MS. This position is responsible for acquiring talent and managing the entire hiring process for assigned areas, including, but not limited to, job specification and development, interviewing and referring candidates to client groups, extending offers, and preparing all paperwork related to offers.
Responsibilities
- Manage full cycle recruiting process from specification through employment offer.
- Identify sources of potential candidates by networking with professional organizations, colleges/universities, diversity sources and other networks.
- Communicate with managers to clarify job specifications and requirements when positions become available.
- Discuss the business operation with hiring managers to determine the qualifications and background needed to perform the open position's essential job functions.
- Ensure that established staffing processes are in complete alignment with established guidelines and procedures and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and competitive best practices;
- Ensure recruitment files are completed in accordance with compliance standards, which includes evaluations, applicant tracking, appropriate use of ICIMS (requisition and applicant tracking) system.
- Conduct on-boarding process including accurately & timely processing of data for new hires & transfers in the payroll and HR database.
- Use on-line recruiting applications to post openings, track applicants and properly disposition candidates.
- Counsel Managers regarding hiring practices and procedures. Provide counseling on recruiting and interviewing skills as needed. Ensure consistency and adherence to recruiting policies and procedures, including the job posting.
- Screen applicants over telephone and conduct personal interviews.
- Represent the company at job fairs and college recruitment offices to identify a pool of candidates.
- Ensure appropriate justifications for the hiring decisions are documented in the job files. Maintain required recruitment/placement documentation for EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity) purposes.
- Prepare recruitment reports and metrics in conformance to established processes.
- Conduct new hire orientation.
- Partner with temporary agencies to source and hire temporary associates.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources Business Partner on opportunities to grow and support the Booneville campus with HR generalist duties as needed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years Human Resource/Recruiting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws/regulations related to employment and general HR practices.
- Experience recruiting in production, distribution, skilled trades and customer service is highly preferred.
- Computer proficiency using MS Outlook, Excel, Word and well as online recruiting applications.
- Experience utilizing an applicant tracking system for candidate management.
- Knowledge of recruitment metrics, assessment tools and techniques.
- Strong functional expertise that includes internet, direct sourcing, job fairs and other alternative sourcing techniques to generate candidate pipeline.
- Knowledge of assessment tools and techniques
- Strong orientation to quality, continuous improvement and customer service.
- Must be a team player with superior communication (both oral and written), interpersonal and consultative skills.
- Ability to build & maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.
